Linguistic
Factors
Linguistics is the scientific study of language.
There are three aspects to this study: language form, language meaning, and language in context. In
linguistics, human language is a system of sounds,
symbols, and meaning.
The study of language meaning, on the other hand, deals with
how languages encode relations between entities, properties, and other aspects
of the world to convey, process, and assign meaning, as well as to manage and
resolve ambiguity.
Learning
Process
Learning is the act of acquiring new, or
modifying and reinforcing, existing knowledge, behaviors, skills, values, or preferences and may involve synthesizing
different types of information. Progress over time tends to
follow learning curves. Learning is not compulsory; it
is contextual. It does not happen all at once, but builds upon and is shaped by
previous knowledge. To that end, learning may be viewed as a process, rather
than a collection of factual and procedural knowledge. Learning produces
changes in the organism and the changes produced are relatively permanent.
