Characteristics
Learner
characteristics can be described as various steps of leaners’ psychological,
behavioral nature, and attitudes toward everything related to learning. There
are three learner characteristics, they are motivation, anxiety, and belief
about language learning.

Motivation
Motivation
includes two reasons that learner have for learning a language intensely. For
examples, the first is learners study the language only for fill the their job
requirement. Then, the second is different reason for language learning,
learners study the language to use it for career puposes. Usually people who
study the language for career purposes have a stronger motivation than people
who study the language only for fill the job requirement.
2.
Anxiety
Anxiety is
like an uncomfortable feeling to learn something new. It means that they always
want to know about something new. For example, language learners feel
uncomfortable when they speak or listen the new language, so they have a desire
to learn the language intensely.
3.
Learner Beliefs
Learner
beliefs about language learning are important to have because they influence
how learners approach language learning and language learning strategies that
they choose to use.
Linguistic Factors
Linguistic
factors in learning are normally subsumed within the field of educational
linguistic. This field encompasses research into multilingualism; language
situations and policies including medium of instructions; how linguistic
practices and factors can guide effective pedagogy; and classroom discourse
analysis for effective teaching and learning. Linguistic factors in learning
also include more current approaches in relation to linguistics variables and
learning (dis)abilities.
Learning
process
It’s part of learning proscess and important part of social
learning process. Learning process is the actions and behaviour a person use to
learn(OXFORD). In our opinion learning process is how the way the teacher teach
the student by some methods to make the student understand. As we know that
learning often takes in formal situation and
place best when student have opportunities to express. To know a person
sucess in language learning we can look at the understanding of the student by
some exercises. There are some kinds of
strategies are available for learner such as small group discussion,
presentation, game etc. However the optimal strategies that are appropiate to
the material, to the task, and to their goals need and stage of learning.
